You, by setting this time aside, will see just how healing art can be and why it can be defined as worship. Through the arts, we can focus our attention and glorify God’s presence. We can create a thank you in the form of a song, painting, poem, etc. The arts, whether we are painting, writing, or dancing, etc.  provides us excellent opportunities to explore, challenge, and comprehend His Word. The arts communicate through our actions and thoughts that give praise to Our Father.

As I explore why ‘creating art’ can be considered a form of worship, I am reminded of Genesis 1:1, that God himself is an artist. He created the heavens and the earth, us too, and everything in between. So, what better way for us to worship Him, the Creator, is there other than for us to create?

I pray you will take this journey with me, exploring what it means to be a Follower of Christ and at the same time, being able to express your love for Christ through your art. You are a believer first, artist second. Together you can worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24).  

I’ve written this book in the format of ‘thought by thought’ rather than ‘chapter by chapter.’ This way, you can begin reading where you choose, for each page stands alone. I left room on the pages for you to draw or take notes. Think of this book as a canvas, how you can express your love for Christ. The book has over twenty-five art activities that will get your creative juices flowing.
